The inner-west truth

Three kinds of home on the same streets

Footscray to Williamstown is three housing worlds layered on one tram-and-rail grid. Each one moves differently, and the move starts with knowing which you have.

TYPE 01

The worker's cottage

Single-fronted Victorian and Edwardian terraces through Yarraville, Seddon, Footscray and Newport. A 3.5 to 4 metre frontage, usually no off-street parking, and a bluestone lane behind.

What it means: The truck is often two doors down, so the day is about the carry and a legal spot, not the kerb.

TYPE 02

The warehouse conversion

Factory and warehouse conversions and apartments around Footscray, Spotswood and the Maribyrnong river flats. Big openings, but a shared freight lift and a loading dock to book.

What it means: A four-metre artwork and a booked lift window are normal here, so we confirm building access before move day.

TYPE 03

The new-estate townhouse

Growth-corridor townhouses and infill across Maribyrnong, Maidstone, Braybrook and Sunshine. Brand-new, but double-storey on a tight block with a shared driveway.

What it means: The stairs turn twice and the driveway is shared, so the crew and timing are sized for the squeeze.

How it works

A move that is planned, not improvised

  1. Tell us the home

Send your addresses, dates and what kind of home it is at both ends. The Move Planner turns that into an honest read in a minute.

  2. We plan the access

Street width, off-street parking, the rear lane, stairs or the freight lift: we work the carry out before move day, not on it.

  3. Moving day

A careful crew wraps, loads and protects floors and frames, and parks where it is legal even when that is a fair carry from the door.

  4. Settled in

We place everything, reassemble what we took apart, and clear the empties if you want them gone.

Why choose us

Local knowledge, careful hands, honest quotes

We know which home you have

A single-fronted cottage, a warehouse conversion and a new-estate townhouse are three different moves. We plan the truck size, the crew and the carry around the one you actually have, at both ends.

The narrow-street trade

A pantech cannot always reach a single-fronted street or a tight estate driveway. We scout the access, choose the right truck, and shuttle from a legal spot rather than discovering the problem on the day.

Insured, every move

Your belongings are covered while we are carrying them. Wrapping and protecting your furniture and your home is part of the job, not an add-on.

Transparent quotes

A clear, indicative quote based on your real move and access. What you are told up front is what you pay, with no day-of surprises.

Common questions

Good to know before you move

How do I get a quote?

Send your pickup and drop-off addresses, your dates and what kind of home it is at each end (cottage, conversion, townhouse). A photo or two of anything heavy or awkward makes the quote sharper. The Move Planner is the quickest start.

My street is single-fronted with no off-street parking. Is that a problem?

It is our normal day across the inner-west. We scout a legal loading spot, choose a truck that suits the street, and plan the carry, including the bluestone rear lane where the home opens onto one.

Can you move a warehouse conversion with a freight lift?

Yes. We confirm the freight-lift booking, the loading dock and any building-management window before move day, and we are set up for oversized pieces like large artworks and long lounges.

Do you move single heavy or awkward items?

Yes. Pianos, fridges, sofas and wardrobes, including up and down the turning stairs of a new-estate townhouse, are a normal day. Send a photo with your enquiry and we will tell you exactly what is involved.
